2026 President Federation Cup: Ahudiyannem Queens storm Round of 16 with emphatic win

Nigeria Women Football League side Ahudiyannem Queens of Abriba delivered one of the standout performances in the Round of 32 of the 2026 President Federation Cup after thrashing Moje Queens 5-0 in Asaba, Delta State.

The Abia-based side showed quality, confidence, and attacking brilliance throughout the encounter as they completely dominated proceedings from start to finish to secure a comfortable passage into the Round of 16.

Since the arrival of head coach Adanna Gloria Nwaneri, Ahudiyannem Queens have continued to enjoy an impressive run of form, and their latest performance further underlined their growing ambition in this year’s competition.

The team displayed sharp attacking movement and defensive solidity, leaving their opponents with little opportunity to respond as they ran riot in front of goal.

Reacting after the victory, Coach Nwaneri expressed delight with the commitment and discipline shown by her players, insisting that the team remains fully focused on winning the trophy.

“I’m very happy with the performance of the girls. They played according to instructions and showed great determination which reflected in the result,” she said.

The coach also appreciated the support of the club president, Chief Dr. Robert Onyeani, whose financial and moral backing, according to her, has continued to motivate the team.

Despite the convincing scoreline, Nwaneri warned against complacency ahead of their Round of 16 fixture, stressing that the target is to go all the way in the competition.

Onyeani reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the team financially and revealed his desire to build Ahudiyannem Queens into one of the leading women’s football clubs in Nigeria.

With a clinical five-goal victory and robust backing from club leadership, Ahudiyannem Queens have established themselves as serious contenders in the tournament. The team now awaits its Round of 16 opponent, aiming to replicate this dominant performance on their journey toward national glory.
