Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO1) side Best Talent FC of Mowe maintained their winning streak with a 2-0 victory over Zion FC at the Redemption City Temple Arena, Mowe, Ogun State, in a preseason matchup.
Goals from Ogundayo Daniel and Owolabi Warris were all the Integrity Boys needed to overcome a resilient Zion FC, as Coach Farouk Yusuf’s side continued to impress and raise expectations ahead of the new season.
Speaking after the match, Coach Farouk admitted he expected a difficult contest but praised his players for keeping their composure:
“I knew Zion FC would give us a tough fight today after watching our previous games here, but we changed our game plan, which gave us control and made it difficult for them to cope,” he said confidently.
Farouk further assured supporters of an exciting season:
“We are cooking something new this season, and our fans will witness another brand of football that will make them proud. What you saw today is just a glimpse of what we intend to deliver. Your support is very important.”
The soft-spoken tactician, who previously had stints with Magate FC, Fackson Tofido, and Coca-Cola Junior School, has maintained a 100% record at Redemption Temple Arena since taking charge of Adeyinka Adeyemo’s boys.
As Best Talent FC looks ahead to the new NLO1 season, Farouk remains focused on building a side capable not only of competing but also dominating:
“We are still building this team, and we hope to build on our progress to make things even better,” he assured.
With such a strong start to their preseason and a coach determined to raise standards, Best Talent FC fans have every reason to be excited for what lies ahead.
