2026 Hedra Super League: CATS Boys shift focus to crucial Fima FC showdown

CATS Boys FC of Lagos have intensified preparations for a crucial encounter against Fima FC as the 2026 Hedra Super League enters its closing stages in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

The upcoming fixture at the Dipo Dina International Stadium will be the team’s sixth game of the tournament and one of their final opportunities to strengthen their push for a successful campaign.

Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Sunday Odetayo expressed confidence in his players’ determination and consistency despite the challenges faced earlier in the competition.

The Lagos-based side began the tournament brightly with a 2-1 victory over Tete Academy on April 17 but suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to MKA Academy in their second outing.

Undeterred by the setback, CATS Boys responded in impressive fashion, recording a commanding 3-0 win over Oligarch FC before edging Kedopeach FC by a lone goal.

Their momentum continued against OOA Football Academy, where Coach Odetayo’s men battled to another hard-fought victory to remain firmly in contention ahead of the decisive final round of matches.

Owned by Agboola Dabiri, the team will conclude their campaign on May 29 with what could prove to be a decisive clash against Akoment FC at the same venue.

The Lagos-based squad remains focused on maintaining their current winning momentum to secure maximum points in these final fixtures. With the tactical preparations put in place by Coach Odetayo, the players are fully motivated to deliver a strong performance against Fima FC. A positive result in this upcoming clash will provide the necessary foundation for the team as they look ahead to their final match of the tournament.
