The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced ticket prices for Saturday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Amavubi of Rwanda. The highly anticipated game will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
According to the NFF, tickets for the VIP section will be sold at ₦3,000, while the popular stands will go for ₦1,000. Sales will begin Friday morning at designated centres across Uyo.
NFF’s Director of Marketing and Sponsorship, Alizor Chuks, emphasized that measures have been put in place to prevent ticket fraud. He warned against racketeering, stressing that all tickets will be scanned at the gates to ensure authenticity.
“The NFF Security Committee has declared total war on ticket manipulators. Fake ticket sellers or holders will be arrested and prosecuted,” Chuks stated, advising fans to purchase only from accredited outlets.
On the visitors’ side, Rwanda’s Amavubi squad arrived in Uyo on Tuesday evening aboard a flight that landed at the Victor Attah International Airport at 5:28 pm. The delegation, led by FERWAFA’s newly elected president, Fabrice Shema Agoga, was warmly received by officials of the Local Organizing Committee before heading to their base at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort. They are scheduled to train at the Nest of Champions practice pitch on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles’ camp at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Ikot-Ekpene has grown with the arrival of African Player of the Year Ademola Lookman and Panathinaikos forward Cyriel Dessers. Both checked in on Wednesday morning.
The squad is expected to be complete with the arrival of Victor Osimhen, Christantus Uche, Tolu Arokodare, Samuel Chukwueze, and Raphael Onyedika later in the evening. With preparations intensifying, excitement continues to build ahead of what promises to be a decisive encounter for Nigeria’s World Cup ambitions.
