2026 FA Cup (Women): Nasarawa Amazons Cruise Past Osklean FC into Round of 32

Nasarawa Amazons FC produced a ruthless performance to overpower Osklean FC 4-0 and secure qualification for the Round of 32 of the 2026 President Federation Cup at the Enugu Centre.

The Nigeria Women Football League side controlled proceedings from start to finish, using their experience and attacking quality to dismantle the Rivers State-based side despite Osklean FC’s spirited resistance.

Nasarawa Amazons took the lead in the 24th minute through Ayatsea Hembafan, who calmly slotted home after sustained pressure from the Lafia-based club. The advantage was doubled three minutes before halftime when Alani Jumoke Victoria finished brilliantly to hand the Amazons a comfortable 2-0 cushion heading into the break.

The second half saw the Amazons maintain their intensity, with tactical substitutions further strengthening their attacking play. Ikeduba Peace replaced Okoronkwo Deborah in the 53rd minute, while Shobowale Olushola came on for Omosuyi Ayowunmi in a move that immediately transformed the attacking rhythm of the team.

Olushola justified her introduction in spectacular fashion, firing home a powerful strike in the 78th minute to extend the lead to 3-0 and effectively put the contest beyond reach.

As the game approached full-time, Igbokwe Joy crowned an impressive team display with a stunning long-range effort that beat the goalkeeper convincingly, sealing an emphatic 4-0 triumph for the Solid Miners Ladies.

The victory sends Nasarawa Amazons into the next round of the competition, where they will face the winner between Naija Ratels and Mighty Jets Mata currently battling in Lafia.

This commanding four-goal victory cements the status of the Nasarawa Amazons as formidable contenders moving forward in the tournament. The team now turns its focus to the upcoming Round of 32 fixture, prepared to maintain this impressive momentum on the national stage.
