2026 FA Cup: Shooting Stars Team B beat Oye Olohun FC

Shooting Stars Team B edged into the semi-finals of the 2026 Oyo State Federation Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Oye Olohun FC in a pulsating quarter-final clash.

The Oluyole Warriors’ cadet side stamped their authority on the encounter from the onset, dictating the tempo and creating a flurry of opportunities across both halves.

Despite carving out no fewer than ten clear scoring chances, they were held at bay in a goalless first half by a resilient Oye Olohun defence.

The breakthrough eventually arrived six minutes after the restart, when Aweda Bari calmly converted in the 51st minute to give Shooting Stars Team B a deserved lead.

Oye Olohun FC responded with renewed urgency and fought bravely in search of an equaliser, but could only muster a single shot on target as the cadet side held firm to seal the win.

With the victory, Shooting Stars Team B now sets up a fascinating semi-final showdown against its senior counterparts (Shooting Stars) on Thursday at the Olubadan Stadium, with kick-off slated for 4:00 p.m.

This highly anticipated intra-club semi-final at the Olubadan Stadium will determine which side advances to the final of the state competition. While the senior team remains the favorite, the cadet side's recent performance suggests they are more than capable of causing an upset. Fans are expected to turn out in large numbers to witness this unique battle for supremacy within the Oluyole Warriors family.
