2026/27 Pre-Season: Nnamdi Bags Four as Elkanemi Warriors Rout Borno Champions 9–0

Elkanemi Warriors FC made a strong statement in their preparations for the 2026/27 season, thrashing Borno State League champions FC Karimo 9–0 in a pre-season friendly at the Elkanemi Warriors Sports Complex in Maiduguri.

The Warriors, featuring a largely revamped squad of newly selected players, produced an impressive attacking display and dominated the encounter from start to finish.

Nnamdi was the standout performer, scoring four goals to lead the rout, while Habib also found the net twice.

Ezeikel and Risilanu added one goal each, with Habibin Umma completing the scoring in spectacular fashion and sparking wild celebrations among the home supporters.

The comprehensive victory provided another encouraging indication of Elkanemi Warriors’ readiness for the challenges ahead as the club intensifies preparations for the NPFL Super Six and CAF Confederation Cup campaigns.

For FC Karimo, the encounter offered a valuable opportunity to test themselves against stronger opposition despite the heavy defeat.

Elkanemi Warriors will now look to build on the performance and continue fine-tuning their squad as the new season draws closer.
