2026/2027 NWFL: Kwara United Queens Recruit Five Onimarg FC Players

Posted : 16 October 2026

Kwara United Queens have moved to strengthen their squad with five loan signings from Onimarg FC as the club intensifies preparations for its forthcoming engagements.

The new recruits were unveiled at the club’s secretariat in Ilorin on Thursday, October 15, 2026, following their safe arrival in the Kwara State capital.

The players are attacking midfielder Olanusi Sandra, defender Olaiya Gbemisola, goalkeeper Olufisayo Deborah, winger Aisha Akeem, and left-back Mustapha Ayomide.

Their recruitment followed impressive performances at the NWFL Nationwide competition held in Aba, Abia, in August, which attracted the attention of the Courageous Queens’ management.

Speaking during the unveiling, club chairman Alhaji Abdulrazaq Owolabi Wopa welcomed the players and charged them to demonstrate discipline, determination, and dedication in their new environment.

He also urged them to abide by the club’s rules and regulations, maintain professionalism, and represent the team positively both on and off the pitch.

Wopa expressed confidence that the new additions would contribute meaningfully to the club’s ambitions as they settle into the squad.

The five players are expected to join their new teammates in training as Kwara United Queens step up preparations for their upcoming assignments.
