Warri Wolves have stepped up their preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with the unveiling of 12 new players.
The Delta-based club, which secured its top-flight status on the final day of last season, is leaving little to chance as it seeks to avoid another relegation battle and build a more competitive squad.
Former Shooting Stars defender Samuel Okon headlines the new arrivals, with several players also joining from PSports FA.
The club has further boosted its squad with the return of players who have gained experience outside Nigeria. James Akawu is back from Mexico, while Ubah Cyracus and Alex Aguodoh return from Egypt and Niger respectively.
Auwal Abubakar and Ezegbu Divine Justice have also joined the Wolves from Ahzuba FC of Kano.
Warri Wolves, however, indicated that the latest unveiling is not the end of their recruitment activities, as the club plans to bring in more players before the start of the new NPFL season.
The Wolves will open their campaign on Aug. 30 with an away fixture against Bendel Insurance in Benin, as they begin their quest for a stronger and more stable season.
