2026/2027 NNL: Yinka Returns to Kebbi United With Promotion Mandate

Kebbi United FC have brought back Usman Salihu Yinka as Head Coach as the club steps up preparations for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Yinka returns to the club with a promotion mandate after previously serving as Head of the Technical Crew between 2019 and 2022.

His previous experience with the club and knowledge of its football structure were key factors in the decision to reappoint him.

The appointment forms part of Kebbi United’s broader efforts to reorganise and strengthen their technical department ahead of the new campaign.

The club’s management expressed confidence in Yinka’s experience and tactical understanding, tasking him with leading the team towards a successful season and a push for promotion.

Yinka has already assumed his responsibilities, joining the players as preparations intensify ahead of the start of the NNL campaign.

The squad is currently undergoing training and a screening exercise as the coaching staff assess the players available for the new season.

With the appointment now concluded, attention will shift to building a competitive squad capable of meeting the club’s objectives in the coming campaign.
