2026/2027 EuroMatch NPFL Match Day 9: Onyedikachi Targets Kun Khalifat Upset at Doma

Kun Khalifat FC forward Benjamin Onyedikachi has expressed confidence in his side’s ability to upset Doma United as both teams prepare for the Matchday 9 encounter in the 2026/2027 EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Owerri-based club faces a challenging assignment at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe, with the hosts looking to consolidate their position among the league’s leading teams.

Doma United have accumulated 13 points from eight matches, recording four victories, one draw and three defeats, while Kun Khalifat have managed two wins, two draws and four losses to collect eight points.

The contrasting records underline the task facing Kun Khalifat, who will need an improved away performance to overcome the Savannah Tigers on their home ground.

Doma United will also be eager to respond after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Nasarawa United in their previous league outing on October 11.

Kun Khalifat, however, travel to Gombe with renewed confidence following their 2-0 victory over Shooting Stars, a result that ended a difficult spell and offered encouragement ahead of the encounter.

Onyedikachi said the team had prepared adequately for the challenge, expressing satisfaction with the atmosphere within the squad ahead of the match.

“We’ve been working hard in training, and everyone is in good spirits,” he said.

The forward’s optimism will be crucial as Kun Khalifat seek to build on their recent victory and improve their standing in the league.

For Doma United, home advantage presents an opportunity to return to winning ways, while Kun Khalifat will be aiming to demonstrate greater consistency against a side with a stronger points record.
