2026/2027 Euromatch NPFL Match Day 7: Kwara United Seek Home Advantage Against Ranchers Bees

Posted : 04 October 2026

Kwara United will look to capitalize on home advantage when they welcome Ranchers Bees of Kaduna in a Matchday 7 fixture.

The encounter is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

The Harmony Boys and the newly promoted Kaduna side are separated only by goal difference on the NPFL table.

Kwara United occupy 12th position with seven points, while Ranchers Bees are 13th with the same number of points.

The closely matched standings have added importance to Sunday's encounter, with both sides seeking valuable points to improve their positions.

Kwara United will also be aiming to respond positively after a difficult start to their away campaign this season.

The Ilorin-based side have lost all three away matches by identical 1-0 margins, making Sunday's home fixture an opportunity to strengthen their campaign.

Coach Ashifat Sulyman and his technical crew have continued their efforts to correct the team's weaknesses as the league progresses.

Sulyman recently assured supporters that the team would recover the points lost in previous matches.

He also appealed to stakeholders and supporters to continue supporting the team throughout the league campaign.

The Harmony Boys, however, will have to cope without goalkeeper Ouattara Khalifa and Tosin Olawale.

Both players are sidelined by injuries and have been ruled out of Sunday's encounter.

No other injury concerns have been reported from the Kwara United camp ahead of the fixture.

The two teams have not met in a competitive league fixture in recent times.

They, however, faced each other twice at the Gusau Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Katsina.

Kwara United recorded one victory, while the other encounter ended in a penalty shootout defeat for the Harmony Boys.

The previous meetings are expected to add further interest to Sunday's clash, although both teams will now be focused on securing maximum points.

Kwara United supporters have been urged to conduct themselves responsibly while cheering the team at the stadium.

Fans have also been encouraged to purchase match tickets through the Chowdeck App or designated physical sales outlets.

The arrangement is expected to facilitate a smooth matchday experience for supporters attending the encounter.

With both teams level on points, Sunday's contest offers an opportunity for either side to strengthen its position on the league table.
