2026/2027 Euromatch NPFL Match Day 6: Katsina United Rally to Overcome Doma United

Katsina United demonstrated character at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday, recovering from a second-half setback to defeat Doma United 2–1 and claim a valuable three points in the 2026/2027 Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Chanji Boys made a bright start to the encounter and took the lead in the 12th minute when Luis Dadong calmly converted from the penalty spot.

With the advantage secured, Katsina United continued to push for a second goal, but Doma United refused to surrender and eventually found a way back into the contest.

The equaliser briefly shifted the momentum towards the visitors, forcing the hosts to regroup as the game developed into a closely fought contest.

Katsina United eventually regained the initiative and were rewarded in the 75th minute when Mukhtar Ismail produced a well-taken finish to restore the home side’s lead.

Doma United responded with increased pressure in search of another equaliser, but the Chanji Boys defended their advantage effectively during the closing stages.

The final whistle confirmed a 2–1 victory for Katsina United, providing the hosts with another important boost in their campaign.

The result takes Katsina United to seven points from five matches, placing the Chanji Boys 14th on the NPFL table, with their outstanding home fixture against Rivers United still to be played.

The victory also gives Katsina United renewed momentum as they prepare for the next phase of the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
