2026/2027 EuroMatch NPFL Match Day 11: Kwara United Seek Revenge Against Bendel Insurance

Posted : 01 November 2026

Kwara United will seek to end Bendel Insurance’s recent dominance in their head-to-head encounters when both sides clash in a Match Day 11 fixture of the 2026/2027 EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on Sunday.

The Harmony Boys will welcome the Benin Arsenal to the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, hoping to convert their renewed confidence into a home victory.

Kwara United head into the encounter encouraged by their 1-1 away draw against Barau FC in Kano last weekend, their first point on the road this season.

The result has provided a timely psychological boost for the Ilorin-based side, who will be determined to build on that performance and improve their position in the league standings.

Coach Ashifat Sulyman will, however, be wary of the challenge posed by Bendel Insurance, who completed a league double over Kwara United last season.

The Benin Arsenal secured a two-goal victory in the first meeting at home before returning to Ilorin to claim a narrow 1-0 win.

Those defeats will serve as additional motivation for the hosts, who are eager to reverse the trend and reward their supporters with maximum points.

Kwara United have also received encouraging injury and disciplinary updates ahead of the encounter.

Goalkeeper Ouattara Khalifa and midfielder Tosin Olawale have returned to training after spending weeks recovering from injuries, while Saheed Olaniyi is available again following the completion of his two-match suspension.

Their availability could provide Sulyman with additional options as he seeks to strengthen his squad for the demanding fixture.

Speaking ahead of the match, the Kwara United coach described the point earned in Kano as a morale booster but warned his players against becoming complacent.

“We will not be swayed by the result in Kano. We see it as an opportunity to restore our fans' confidence,” he said.

The coach also appealed to supporters to maintain their backing as the team seeks to turn its improved performance into a winning result.

Bendel Insurance, meanwhile, will arrive in Ilorin hoping to reproduce the discipline and efficiency that earned them victories over Kwara United last season.

For the visitors, another positive result would strengthen their campaign, while the hosts understand that overcoming their opponents could represent an important turning point.

With revenge, home advantage and the need for valuable league points providing the motivation, Sunday's encounter promises an intriguing contest between two sides determined to improve their standing.

Kwara United will be counting on their returning players and home support to end Bendel Insurance's recent superiority, while the visitors will be eager to maintain their favourable record against the Harmony Boys.

Match tickets are available through the Chowdeck application ahead of the encounter.
