Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, five-time FIFA U-17 World Cup champions, have discovered their opponents for the upcoming 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship. The draw, held on Thursday, September 4, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, placed the Eaglets in Group B with Burkina Faso and Benin Republic.
Host nation Côte d’Ivoire leads Group A, where they will face Ghana, Niger, and Togo in what promises to be another fiercely contested section.
The championship, scheduled to run from September 20 to October 3, 2025, is a key pathway to qualification for the CAF U-17 Nations Cup. Yamoussoukro, the Ivorian capital, will host the matches in modern facilities designed to highlight Africa’s rising football talent.
