The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has confirmed that the 2nd edition of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu National Peace Cup will take place in Katsina.
Preparations are in full swing for the 2nd Edition of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu National Peace Cup, a national U-18 Boys Soccer Tournament organized by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON). The competition is scheduled to take place in Katsina State from October 24 to November 1, 2025, as part of efforts to promote peace, unity, and youth engagement through sports.
According to a circular released by YSFON’s National Headquarters and signed by Patrick Okpavuerhe, the National Secretary, all state YSFON teams across Nigeria are invited to participate. Each team must include 20 players under the age of 18 and three officials, one of whom must be a recognized YSFON representative.
Teams are expected to arrive in Katsina on Thursday, October 23, with player screening scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. YSFON stated that accommodation will be provided in designated school hostels, while teams are responsible for their own feeding and transportation arrangements.
The federation has directed all state chapters to submit their team entries to the YSFON National Headquarters by Friday, October 17, 2025, confirming participation before departure.
The President Tinubu National Peace Cup is designed to foster national unity, peacebuilding, and grassroots football development by bringing together young players from across the country to compete in a spirit of sportsmanship and friendship.
