2025 President Federation Cup: Kwara United FC set date with destiny after Semi finals qualifications

As the drum beats loudly and the ovation fills the air, the celebration still echoes as the news of Kwara United's victory over Akwa United in the 2025 President Federation Cup reverberates across the land.


The Harmony Boys now have a date with destiny, as sweet as the victory was, it has pitched the team against another history-chasing side, Rangers International FC.


Having made history with the club's first-ever advancement to the semi-finals, what remains for the Afonja Warriors is to fight to overcome the hurdle standing between them and the final.


That hurdle, according to the fixtures, is the same Rangers International of Enugu, who 49 years ago, in 1976, dashed the ambitions of the defunct Alyuf Salam Rocks of Ilorin in the final of this same prestigious national competition, then known as the Challenge Cup.


This time around, serious technical strategies must be put in place to "shoot" the Flying Antelopes of Enugu, full of holes.


This, however, must be supported by serious preparations.
