2025 President Federatiom Cup: Nasarawa Amazons arrive Awka for Bayelsa Queens fight

Coach Christopher Danjuma is confident in his team's chances of progressing to the next round and has praised Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support as they play the Round of 16 in the ongoing President Federation Cup in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.


Nasarawa Amazons FC, currently representing Nasarawa State in the 2025 Women's President Federation Cup, arrived in Awka on Thursday, the host city for their Round of 16 clash against Bayelsa Queens Football Club of Yenagoa.


The two-time champions of the President Federation Cup are scheduled to battle Restoration Girls at Awka Stadium on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, after their arrival in Awka on Thursday afternoon.


Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia aims to evoke the spirit of their 2024 Round of 16, where they advanced to the next round after knocking out the Bayelsa Queens in the same stage. A win in this game is all the Lafia ladies want.


Saturday's victory will set the tone for a better and brighter journey toward the trophy ahead.


Nasarawa Amazons FC were winners of the 2005 and 2019 President Federation Cup and are still eager to win again, taking each game as a final.


The Lafia ladies are in high spirits and hope to reach the finals and win the trophy for their beloved, supportive, and great Governor, Engr. A.A. Sule, and the many supporters of the club.
