After consecutive wins over Browl FA (6-0) and Bison FC (1-0), Best Talent Football Club of Mowe handed Wonder Boys FC a 3-0 defeat at Redemption City Temple Arena, Mowe, Ogun State.
The Mowe-based outfit, determined to secure a spot in the Most Important League, has been on a dominant run, with their young and dynamic squad impressing across League tiers in South West Nigeria. The club has declared no break for players and coaching staff, aiming to remain compact and focused ahead of the new season.
Akinola Jamiu opened the scoring for Best Talent in the 11th minute, followed by a brace from Fehintola Abiola in the 13th and 16th minutes of the first half. Despite making five substitutions in the second half, the scoreline remained 3-0, with Adeyinka Adeyemo’s team largely in control under the guidance of Coach Farouk Yusuf.
Best Talent FC, competing in the Nationwide League One under Coach Yusuf, has played 30 matches this season, winning 21, drawing 5, and losing 4. The team is widely respected for producing talented youth players aged 14–19, and they recently recorded top victories in scouting programs in Lagos and Ogun State.
Coach Farouk praised the players, management, and Chairman Adeyinka Adeyemo for their dedication and support. He highlighted the team’s resilience and determination in securing the victory against Wonder Boys FC.
In his remarks, Coach Yusuf said: “I sincerely appreciate the entire management team and my players for doing a wonderful job today against Wonder Boys FC. They all played well and adhered to instructions. I am very proud of them. We are aware of the preparation of other teams, but our focus remains on developing these young lads mentally, physically, and emotionally for the forthcoming NLO1 season. Beating local rivals is a positive sign for the team, and we will remain in camp ahead of the new season to maintain the boys’ fitness levels.”
