2025 NLO Playoffs: Unbeaten Kano Ambassadors FC Seal Promotion to NNL

Barau Football Club striker, Kabiru Abdullahi, delivered another standout performance as Kano-based Kano Ambassadors FC secured promotion to the Nigerian National League (NNL) for the 2025/2026 season.

Kano Ambassadors FC were dominant throughout the promotion playoffs held in Gumel, Jigawa State, winning all three of their matches—an achievement that reflects the team’s discipline, consistency, and hard work across the season.

Kabiru Abdullahi, who was instrumental in Barau FC’s promotion from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the NNL last season, made history once again by playing a key role in another successful campaign, this time with Kano Ambassadors FC.

The 23-year-old forward featured in all 12 matches of the 2024/2025 NLO season, netting 9 goals and providing 7 assists, marking him as one of the most impactful players of the league season.

This promotion is expected to positively influence Nigerian football development, especially in Kano State, where the club is based. With their solid squad and impressive form, Kano Ambassadors FC are well-positioned to make a strong impact in the NNL next season.
