Ben Akwuegbu FC put behind the disappointment of losing 1-0 in their last match and returned to winning ways in comfortable fashion.
It took just 13 minutes for Stephen Gyang to open the scoring, as he capitalized on Dayo Ojulari's assist to end the first half 1-0.
From the left flank, Onoja Godwin made his way into the box and fired a shot, which the goalkeeper spilled, allowing onrushing Stephen Gyang to finish exquisitely into the bottom corner of the net and double the lead for Ben Akwuegbu FC in the 67th minute.
With the introduction of Bernard Ishaku late in the second half, Plateau Jets SC continued to push, but the Akwuegbu side remained resolute in defending their two-goal lead until the end of the encounter.
With this result, Coach Joshua Zira's team will look forward to their next match against table-toppers Mighty Jets Feeders on Thursday at 4 pm with optimism.
