2025 NLO: Ben Akwuegbu FC crush Mafeng FC in dominant display

Ben Akwuegbu FC's victory was never in doubt from the blast of the whistle, as they totally dominated proceedings for the entire duration and established themselves as one of the dominant forces in the NLO Division 1 Jos Center.


It took just 10 minutes for the Akwuegbu side to take the lead, thanks to a brilliant finish from Panshak Shwankop.


They doubled their lead in the 34th minute through Dayo Ojulari, who rounded the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into an empty net, ending the first half strongly at 2–0.


Mafeng FC threatened to get back into the game in the early stages of the second half after making some changes, but Akwuegbu's defensive setup remained resolute in keeping them at bay.


Tongshinen Dakup sealed the win for Ben Akwuegbu FC in the 85th minute with a clinical finish, capping off a fantastic victory that further cements their status as one of the dominant forces in the competition.


Coach Joshua Zira and his technical crew will be proud of their team’s journey so far, even if they fail to gain promotion to the next level.
