2025 LSL: Chekas United Feeders Target Super 4 Spot as Clubs Talk Tough
Posted : 07 June 2025
As the race to qualify for the Super 4 of the 2025 Lagos State League (LSL) intensifies, participating clubs are expressing strong ambitions ahead of the final stretch.
Chairman of Chekas United Feeders Football Club, Chekwube Uzoegbo, has declared his team’s determination to secure a top-two finish in their conference and book a spot in the Super 4 of the 2024/2025 LSL season.
The Ojo-based side avenged their earlier loss to Lekki Junior Strikers FC by defeating them 2-1 in a Week 11 fixture played at the CVD Volks Field, Ojo, Lagos, on Wednesday.
Lekki Junior Strikers had earlier beaten Chekas Feeders 2-1 in the reverse fixture. In this clash, they again took the lead in the second half, but Chekas Feeders mounted a spirited comeback to seal the victory, setting the tone for their push toward the Super 4.
“As you can see, our feeders team is doing their best to finish in the top two in their conference,” Uzoegbo said. “The main goal is to qualify for the Super 4 and ultimately emerge as champions.”
He also reflected on Chekas United's debut campaign in the Nationwide League Division One (NLO), describing it as a learning experience despite falling short of expectations.
“Our performance in the NLO was what we expected for a debut season. We’ll go back to the drawing board, put in more work, and make necessary adjustments to ensure a better season next year,” he concluded.
With the recent win, Chekas United Feeders are now among the front-runners in the Atlantic Conference as the Lagos State League nears its climax.
