2025 FCT FA League Kicks Off in Abuja with 18 Teams

The long-awaited 2025 FCT FA League has officially kicked off in Abuja, with 18 teams registered to compete in what promises to be a thrilling grassroots football development event.

According to the organizers, the league will run for one month and feature not only intense football action but also entertainment, talent scouting, and other side attractions aimed at enriching the local football experience.

The 18 participating teams have been grouped into three pools, with matches scheduled to hold at two key venues: the Area 3 Playing Pitch and the Old Parade Ground.

The top two teams from each group at the end of the preliminary round will qualify for the Super Six, where the overall champions of the tournament will be decided.

Fans can expect a month-long football fiesta, packed with skill, passion, and fierce competition in the heart of Nigeria’s capital.

Group Breakdown

Group A: CASMATT FC, Defence Strikers, Gwarinpa United, Golden Boys, IB Sports, Royal FC
Group B: Pride FC, Youthful Ballers FA, Optimum Sports, Makinz FC, Camp United, RAMSAKY FC
Group C: Ejike Ugboaja FC, Basic Maracana, Abees FA, Future Guarantee, Sofae Sports, Sensational Stars
