The management of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Maiduguri, has extended invitations to 16 promising home-based players from various clubs across Borno State following a thorough evaluation process.
The shortlisted players are expected to report for trials and further assessment at the El-Kanemi Warriors FC Stadium on June 26 and 27.
According to Head Coach Ba Kaka Kalli, the players were carefully scouted and evaluated based on their performances and potential. He emphasized the club’s continued commitment to developing local talent and promoting grassroots football.
“This is a great opportunity for these young players to show the world their potential,”
“We believe in developing grassroots football, and we are confident that these players have what it takes to compete at the highest level,” Coach Kalli said.
As the 2025/26 NPFL season approaches, El-Kanemi Warriors FC is looking to overhaul its squad and strengthen key positions with promising talents from within the state. The move reflects the club’s longstanding tradition of promoting homegrown players and giving them a platform to shine and represent with pride.
With trials scheduled to begin shortly, all eyes will be on these young talents as they aim to earn a spot in the squad and begin their journey with one of Nigeria’s most respected football clubs.
