2025/2026 NWFL Match Day 8: Abia Angels FC Secure Convincing Win Over Dannaz Ladies in Aba

Abia Angels FC of Aba have continued their winning streak with a 2–0 victory over visiting Dannaz Ladies Lagos at the Enyimba FC Stadium in Aba.

From the outset, Abia Angels FC dominated the match, with debutant Saleh Blessing leading the attack and receiving support from Usani Miracle and Charles Nwabueze, forcing the Dannaz Ladies to adopt an early defensive stance.

Adefuye Funmilayo scored the home side's opening goal from a corner kick in the 13th minute, securing a lead that would prove decisive.

Another solid defensive display from Onyedikachi Ekezie resulted in the second goal, as she headed in a cross from Nwabueze Charles, sealing a 2–0 win for the home team.

Abia Angels FC look forward to their upcoming match against Ahudiyanem Queens FC Abiriba, which promises to be an intriguing encounter.
