2025/2026 NWFL Match Day 4: Heartland Queens Target Road Victory Against Naija Ratels

Heartland Queens are set to challenge Naija Ratels on the road in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Match Day 4 clash at Bwari Stadium in Abuja. The Owerri-based side is looking to continue their campaign after a brief midweek break following Match Day 3.

Though the two teams avoided each other in the previous 2024/2025 season, they are familiar opponents with a history of competitive encounters, including the 2024 Sheroes Cup preseason tournament in Abuja.

Naija Ratels enter the fixture on the back of a heavy 5–0 defeat to Bayelsa Queens at home, while Heartland Queens enjoyed a well-deserved bye and are expected to be refreshed for the match.

Heartland Queens are yet to secure points on the road in the early stages of the league, making this encounter an important opportunity to break their away jinx.

In Week 2, Heartland Queens narrowly missed out on victory against Edo Queens in Benin City, falling 1–0 despite a strong performance.

Coach Obi Ogbala will hope to reverse their fortunes against Naija Ratels by deploying his trusted players in an effort to claim maximum points.

The lineup is expected to remain largely unchanged, reflecting the squad’s proven fighting spirit and tactical cohesion.

Naija Ratels’ coach, Sabo Okala, meanwhile, will rely on his strongest players to defend home turf and finish the year positively. The match promises to be fiercely contested, with both benches likely to play a decisive role in determining the outcome.

Following Match Day 4, the NWFL Premiership will take a break for Christmas and New Year, with Match Day 5 scheduled to resume on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Currently, Heartland Queens sit sixth in the nine-team Group A standings with three points, four behind leaders Adamawa Queens, while Naija Ratels occupy eighth place with just one point.
