2025/2026 NWFL Match Day 4: Edo Queens End Adamawa Queens’ Unbeaten Run

Edo Queens produced a composed and authoritative display to hand Adamawa Queens their first league defeat of the season, securing a 2–0 victory on Match Day Four of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

The home side dictated the tempo from the start, keeping Adamawa Queens under pressure for extended periods. Their persistence paid off just before halftime when Chioma Esther Moses converted a penalty in the 45th minute, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to give Edo Queens a deserved lead heading into the break.

After the restart, Adamawa Queens pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but Edo Queens remained disciplined and compact, effectively neutralizing the visitors’ attacking efforts while maintaining control of the game.

The decisive moment came in the 75th minute when Edo Queens doubled their lead. Esther Moses’ brilliant run created the opening, and Atume Doosuur tapped in from close range, sealing the victory and highlighting the hosts’ superiority.

It was a complete performance from Edo Queens, who dominated proceedings, displayed composure in key moments, and made a strong statement on home soil.

For Adamawa Queens, the defeat ended their unbeaten start to the season and exposed challenges in breaking down a resilient Edo Queens defense.
