2025/2026 NWFL Match Day 15: Ekiti Queens returns to Ado against Pacesetter Queens

Posted : 15 April 2026

The Ekiti State Government has warned supporters against acts of violence as Ekiti Queens FC return to the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti, for their Matchday 15 clash against Pacesetter Queens.

The Technical Adviser on Sports Development to Gov. Biodun Oyebanji, Olusola Osetoba, gave the warning at a news conference on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti.

Ekiti Queens will be playing before their home fans for the first time this season after being banished to the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun, since Dec. 10, 2025.

Osetoba urged supporters to maintain order and decorum during the match.

Ekiti Queens will face their South-West rivals, Pacesetter Queens of Ibadan, in a Matchday 15 encounter.

The hosts go into the fixture with confidence, having secured a 2–0 victory in the reverse fixture in Ibadan through goals by Ismail Zainab and Winifred Eyebhoria.

Osetoba, while expressing excitement over the team’s return, warned that any act of hooliganism could result in another ban on the team.

Ekiti Queens will be aiming to build on their away victories this season and improve their position on the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

The return to Ado Ekiti represents a significant milestone for the club as they seek to leverage home advantage in the final stages of the league. Fans are encouraged to provide positive support to ensure the team continues its campaign without further disciplinary setbacks.
