2025/2026 NPFL Season: Kun Khalifat FC Chairman Charges Team Ahead of Second Stanza

The President and CEO of Kun Khalifat FC, Michael Amaefula, has called on the team to maintain focus and discipline as the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) enters its second stanza.

Amaefula delivered the message ahead of Kun Khalifat FC’s Match Day 20 fixture against Katsina United FC in Kano, which marks the start of the season’s second half.

The first match of the new year ushers in a series of challenging fixtures for the Pride of Imo State. Welcoming the players back from the mid-season break and Yuletide festivities, Amaefula reminded them of the club’s primary objective this season: to retain their NPFL status. “I welcome you back from a well-deserved half-season break.

As we resume the second stanza, it is time to do more without relenting. It’s a new year, new attitude. It’s important that we get back to winning ways, starting with the game against Katsina United and sustaining the winning momentum,” he said.

Amaefula emphasized that achieving the club’s target would require total commitment from every squad member, highlighting the importance of discipline, tradition, and consistent effort.

Kun Khalifat FC face four key games in January: an away tie against Katsina United FC, followed by a home Oriental Derby against Rangers International, a trip to Ikenne to face defending champions Remo Stars, and a home match against Kwara United to conclude the month.
