2025/2026 NPFL Match Day 18: Kun Khalifat FC Holds Wikki Tourists to Goalless Draw

It was another setback for Wikki Tourists FC in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign, as the Bauchi-based side were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (ATB) Stadium.

The hosts dominated large spells of the encounter and created several scoring opportunities, but poor finishing proved costly as the visitors stood firm defensively to earn a valuable point on the road.

Despite tactical changes introduced in the early stages and late in the second half, the Giant Elephants could not find the breakthrough they desperately needed to improve their position on the league table.

The draw further compounded Wikki Tourists’ difficult run in the league so far.

Speaking after the match, Assistant Coach Wada Jibrin expressed his disappointment with the outcome, noting that the team had prepared thoroughly for the fixture.

He appealed to the club’s supporters for calm and understanding, assuring them that the team remains focused and determined to bounce back stronger.

Wikki Tourists will now turn their attention to Match Day 19, away against Warri Wolves next weekend.
