Sporting Lagos made a statement of intent in their opening fixture of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4, grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ranchers Bees at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

In a contest that demanded patience and precision, the Lagos side found their match-winner through Alex Leme, whose well-taken header just before halftime ultimately proved decisive in a tightly balanced encounter.
