2025/2026 NNL Season: Top Clubs Set for Bauchi Showdown

Organisers Pick Bauchi as Host of the 2025 NNL Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament

Twelve Nigerian football clubs, including Adamawa United FC, Gombe United FC, and Wikki Tourist Feeder FC, are set to compete for honours at the 2025 NNL Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Bauchi.

The competition will kick off on Wednesday, October 22, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, with defending champions Adamawa United FC facing Basira FC in the opening match at 4 p.m.

According to the Tournament Coordinator, Abahuraira Dahiru, all necessary arrangements have been finalized in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee and the Bauchi State Football Association to ensure a smooth and successful event.

Participating teams have been drawn into three groups. Group A features Adamawa United FC, Basira FC, Darazo Academy FC, and Young Generation FC.

Group B includes Mighty Jet FC, Bichi First FC, Doma United FC, and One Touch FC, while Group C comprises Gombe United FC, Jigawa Golden Stars FC, Kano Selected FC, and Wikki Tourist Feeder FC.

Teams are expected to arrive in Bauchi by October 21 for the technical meeting and draw.

The top three teams from Groups A and B, along with the top two from Group C, will qualify for the next stage of the competition.

Organizers stated that the tournament aims to showcase emerging football talents, strengthen team preparations, and offer fans thrilling matches ahead of the new NNL season.
