The curtain fell on Conference C of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) with high drama at both ends of the table, as Mighty Jets FC and City FC were officially relegated to the National League One (NLO) after disappointing campaigns.

Both sides ended the season level on 16 points from 14 matches, sealing their fate despite late efforts to escape the drop.

Their closest challengers, Lobi Stars, trailed with 23 points, unable to close the gap despite their crucial win over City FC. Doma United’s consistency throughout the campaign ultimately proved decisive in their return to top-flight football.

Attention now shifts to Conferences A, B, and D, where the remaining promotion slots will be determined in the coming weeks, completing the lineup for the next Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Reacting to the conclusion, NNL Chairman George Aluo expressed satisfaction with how the conference unfolded, highlighting the competitiveness and organization displayed.

“It’s a thing of joy that we have successfully concluded Conference C with exciting results. I look forward to the remaining conferences producing worthy champions,” he said.

With relegation heartbreak and promotion celebrations defining Conference C, the stage is set for an equally gripping finish across the other groups.
