2024 NLO Umuahia Centre: City Stars FC target NLO playoff - Official

The Media Officer of City Stars FC of Aba, Shilo Ezenwafor, said the club will do everything to qualify for the Nationwide League One (NLO) playoffs.


Ezenwafor stated that the club's target is to qualify for the NLO playoffs.


City Stars FC is currently participating in the Umuahia center, occupying the third position on the league table.


He mentioned that the club is focused on playing in the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL).


The media officer mentioned that the club has sacrificed a lot to play its matches and ensure qualification for the playoffs.


"Every team in the NLO is there to play and make a name for themselves, although picking a playoff ticket won't be easy considering the strength of the teams in the Umuahia center.


"With the kind of work City Stars FC has put into this competition, I can confidently say that we will definitely make it to the playoffs.


"We all know that this stage of football competition is more about exposing the players to national youth teams and taking the best talents outside the country.


"So, we really need to have an NNL team from Aba. The players are good, and watching them play shows how competitive the NLO is," Ezenwafor said.


The media officer added that the competition in the NLO is good for the players as it exposes them to a lot of tactics and other football techniques.


City Stars are third on the league table, three points behind second-placed Ingas FC of Enugu after seven games.
