Ibom Angels FC's final away match of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership 2024/2025 ended in defeat.
They lost 3-1 to Adamawa Queens FC at Makhwada Stadium in Numan, Adamawa State.
The hosts took the lead through Onyinyechi Onah's 23rd-minute goal, which was doubled by Anastasia Tarfa in the 66th minute. Blessing Sule sealed the win with a penalty in the 89th minute.
Captain Abasiofon Uwah scored the Orange Ladies' only goal in the 80th minute, tapping in Helen Daniel's free kick.
Although the regular season has concluded, Ibom Angels FC will focus on redeeming themselves in the President Federation Cup (FA Cup).
This Saturday, they will face Delta Queens FC in the Round of 16 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
