2024/2025 NPFL Season: Enyimba Unveils Eguma as New Technical Adviser

In a swift reaction just hours after Yemi Olarenwaju was relieved of his duties, Enyimba has appointed former Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma as their new Technical Adviser.

 

On Saturday, Enyimba officially announced the termination of Olarenwaju's contract as head coach of the two-time CAF Champions League winners. The decision follows a string of disappointing results, with the team managing only one win in their last 12 matches across the Nigeria Premier Football League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

 

Eguma, a veteran manager in the NPFL, returns to the dugout more than six months after his departure from Rivers United. He previously joined the now-defunct Dolphins in 2008 and continued at the helm when the Rivers State government merged Sharks and Dolphins to form Rivers United in 2017.

 

Eguma will be hoping to turn around Enyimba's fortunes as he begins his new role with the People's Elephant.
