Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan have confirmed the signing of eight new players to strengthen their squad for the second round of the 2024/25 NPFL season.
The Media Officer of the club, Tosin Omojola, revealed that the players were signed from both NPFL and NNL teams.
Some of the new acquisitions mentioned include Sadiq Ibrahim, a striker from Sunshine Stars, Omoduemuke Moses, a striker from Niger Tornadoes, as well as midfielder Okorie Ekeson from Rangers International.
Others are midfielders Ukeme Williams from Miyansar Sport FC, Iraq, and Ephraim Nwachukwu from Osun United.
Additionally, the club announced the promotion of a promising player, Liuz David, a young professional, to the main team.
In the same vein, the club also announced the departure of eight players: Abubakar Aliu, Abbey Benson, Elum Henry, Hassane Sidibe, Bolaji Sakin, Uche Onwuasonanya, Fasanmi Olaniyi, and Malachi Ohawume.
The Ibadan soccer lords hope to unleash some of the newly signed players against Nasarawa United when the two sides meet on Wednesday in a Matchday 21 encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
