2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 38: Lobi Stars has bided the elite league farewell

The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 38 was played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, popularly known as the Cathedral.


It took the home side sheer luck to come from a goal down after Uche Collins scored the opener for the Benin Arsenals in the 5th minute of play.


The Alia Boys, however, rallied in the 28th minute and then scored the winning goal 13 minutes into stoppage time (90+13).


With their relegation already confirmed weeks earlier and a winless run stretching across several matches, Lobi Stars bowed out of the top flight on a positive note against Bendel Insurance.


The hosts signed off with pride, while Bendel Insurance was left to rue their missed opportunities.
