2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 37: Kano Pillars dim Shooting Stars in Kano

Super Eagles captain and Unity Cup invitee, Ahmed Musa, delivered a masterful performance on Sunday to dim Shooting Stars SC in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 37 fixtures.


The NPFL Match Day 37 clash, played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, saw the Sai Masu Gida have their hopes of continental football dashed, but they still delivered a resounding result.


The Usman Abdallah-tutored team proved too strong for Shooting Stars (3SC), ending the Oluyole Warriors’ continental dreams with a comprehensive 3-1 win.


Musa opened the scoring in the 50th minute and doubled his tally in the 85th minute, while Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim converted a penalty in the 62nd minute to complete the rout over 3SC—whose only reply came via Alex Aghahowa in the 58th minute, a lone spark in what has turned into a disappointing end to a once-promising campaign.
