2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 37: Kano Pillars chase record against Shooting Stars

The fixtures between both clubs have been fierce, with a long history of rivalry, as they are among the few remaining traditional clubs in Nigeria. Fans should expect a tough match between Kano Pillars FC and Shooting Stars FC.


The highly anticipated and tension-soaked 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash will be hosted at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.


For Sai Masu Gida, they will be relying on their chief goal scorer and Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, to work his magic, having emerged as the team's top scorer.


Musa's goal-scoring prowess has not gone unnoticed, as he has been recalled to the Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup, expected to be held in London later this year.


However, Shooting Stars midfielder Kabiru Tijani believes his team will secure maximum points on Matchday 37.


Tijani stated that the players have resolved to win their final away fixture, having endured a series of disappointing results that left the team with only one win in eight matches.


He further emphasized that the presence of experienced players in Usman Abdallah’s team would not pose a problem for his side.


“This is our last away match of the season. We have to end it with a victory,” Tijani told Nigerian Players Gallery.


“We are playing against experienced players like Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, and Rabiu Ali, but we are not afraid of them.


“I respect their players, but they are not better than ours. We will do everything possible to get the three points.”
