2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 33: Rangers Int'l FC Technical Adviser, Ilechukwu, vows to fight on

The Technical Adviser of Rangers International FC of Enugu, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has vowed to continue fighting for a place in the continental slot as the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) nears its completion.


The defending champions will play a home-away-from-home match against Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, popularly known as "The Cathedral."


Recall that the Flying Antelopes have been playing their home matches at the Cathedral after leaving Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi. Now, they will have to face the owner of the turf, Rangers International FC, in a match that was supposed to be their home game but has now turned into an advantage for the Flying Antelopes.


Speaking ahead of the 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 34 match scheduled for Saturday, Fidelis Ilechukwu assured that Rangers International will keep fighting to end the 2024/25 season on a high note.


The Rangers gaffer made this statement after his side defeated Bendel Insurance 1-0 in a thrilling Round of 16 President Federation Cup fixture.


Additionally, the Flying Antelopes secured their place in the quarter-finals of Nigeria's oldest club competition, the 2025 President Federation Cup, thanks to a decisive spot kick awarded after Obaje was fouled inside the box by Insurance goalkeeper Joshua Baba.


Ilechukwu then said, "We keep fighting and working on our team as we approach the last matches of the NPFL and the remaining games of the Federation Cup. We are still positive as we head into the end of the season."
