The highly anticipated play-off, which will determine the overall NNL champion and the four clubs to gain promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), is scheduled to take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, from July 5 to 12.
Despite playing in front of home fans, Neville dismissed any notion of home advantage, stressing that every team in the Super 8 has equal motivation and preparation.
“Although we’re playing at home, that doesn’t mean we should be complacent,” he said. “All the teams are well-prepared because promotion to the top flight is at stake. There’s no favouritism in today’s NNL—home advantage no longer holds sway.”
Neville expressed confidence in the calibre of players in Warri Wolves' squad and highlighted the team's strong performance during the regular season in Conference B as a solid foundation for success.
“I have no doubt in my mind that we’ll perform well at the play-offs. Our team is strong, and our preparation has been thorough,” he said. “Our target is not just promotion to the Premier League, but also to win the NNL title.”
