The final round of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL) season between promotion chasers Sporting Lagos and Solution FC will be decided in Anambra.
Sporting, currently third in the Conference B standings with 31 points, need a win against their hosts to overtake Osun United, who sit second with 33 points and have a game in hand. Both Sporting and Osun United are battling to join Owerri-based Kun Khalifat FC as Conference B representatives in the Super 8 promotional playoffs of Nigeria’s second-tier league.
Meanwhile, two second-half goals from Jonathan Okechukwu and Mojeed Adekunle were enough for Crown FC to secure the second spot in Southern Conference A and qualify for the Super 8 playoffs. The goals sealed a 2-1 away victory over Ijele FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The win means Crown FC will now join Warri Wolves as the two teams representing Conference A in the NNL promotional playoffs.
