2024/2025 NNL Match Day 18: NNL orders closed gates for Mighty Jets, Barau FC clash

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has directed that the final Conference C match between Mighty Jets of Jos and Barau FC of Kano be played behind closed doors.


This decision comes amid growing security concerns and fears of potential hooliganism at the New Jos Stadium, where the match is scheduled to take place.


The NNL has emphasized the importance of safety and security during the match. The Plateau State Football Association, led by Honourable Suleiman Kwande, has been tasked with ensuring that adequate security measures are in place.


This includes guaranteeing the availability of necessary logistics for the successful hosting of the game.


The NNL’s decision reflects its commitment to prioritizing the safety of players, officials, and spectators.


By playing the match behind closed doors, the league aims to minimize potential risks and ensure the smooth execution of the game.


The clash between Mighty Jets of Jos and Barau FC of Kano will kick off at 3:00 pm, simultaneously with other matches in Conference C on Sunday, 18 May 2025.
