2024/2025 NNL Match Day 17: Kun Khalifat FC returns to Southern Conference B's summit

High-flying Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri have returned to winning ways in the ongoing 2024/25 NNL season after a slim 1-0 home win over Solution FC.


The Southern Conference B table-toppers reaffirmed their dominance at home and returned to winning ways after a hard-fought 1-0 oriental derby victory against Solution FC of Anambra State in the Match Day 17 encounter.


Ebuka Nwokorie's vital goal in the 71st minute of the crucial and eventful encounter was enough for Kun Khalifat to defeat Soludo's Boys.


With this result, the Pride of Imo State have extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points after 15 matches.


The Obinna Uzoho-led side, who are on the verge of securing a place in the 2024/25 NNL Super 8 playoffs, have a date with Sporting Lagos in their next game.
