2023/2024 NWFL: Last gap effort saves Ekiti Queens from relegation

Ekiti Queens FC, in a thrilling showdown of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Premier Football League fixture, clinched a crucial 2-0 victory over Rivers Angels FC, securing their place in the NWFL for another season. 


The win not only lifted them out of the relegation battle but also cemented their status in the league, with a total of 14 points.


Meanwhile, in another gripping match, Remo Stars Ladies triumphed over Sunshine Queens with a scoreline of two goals to one. 


Unfortunately for Sunshine Queens, this defeat marked the end of their run in the Premier League, as they were relegated back to the Championship with 13 points.


With this decisive victory, Ekiti Queens celebrate their perseverance and resilience, while Sunshine Queens will face the challenge of regrouping for the upcoming season in the Championship league.
