2023/2024 NPFL: Niger Tornadoes incur N1M fine over security breach during Match Day 23

The management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has charged Niger Tornadoes for breaching the #NPFL24 Framework & Rules during their Matchday 23 game against Rangers International FC on Sunday.


The Ikon Allah Boys allegedly failed to provide adequate and effective security, resulting in unauthorized persons gaining access to restricted areas.


Furthermore, officials of Niger Tornadoes and other unauthorized persons encroached onto the pitch during the match at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.


A fine of N1 million has been imposed on Tornadoes for failing to provide adequate and effective security during the match against Rangers.


Tornadoes will also pay a further N1 million for encroachment onto the pitch during the match.


The Minna club has 48 hours from the date of notice of the sanctions to appeal.
