The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, has urged the players of the Oluyole Warriors to aim for maximum points against Kwara United of Ilorin on Wednesday.


Ahead of the Matchday 28 encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, the 3SC helmsman, while addressing the players after their training, encouraged them to secure a victory to erase the memories of the painful 1-2 loss to Niger Tornadoes on Matchday 27.


"That defeat in Kaduna was a setback for us. If we had won that game, we would have been among the top four teams on the table by now. However, on Wednesday, I want you to delight the fans with a comprehensive victory over Kwara United, and I know you can do it," stated the former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly.


He urged the players to approach the remaining matches with zeal, commitment, and determination, emphasizing that the season has reached a crucial stage where games will become tougher.


"In particular, I want you to secure maximum points away from home because that will significantly contribute to our season's objectives. I must tell you, no team can yet claim the league title. The race is still wide open, considering the point difference," added the retired referee, who assured the players of the management's continued commitment to their welfare.
