2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 22: Bayelsa United FC hits Doma United twice in Yenagoa

Bayelsa United FC scored twice on Wednesday to defeat league title-chasing and ambitious Doma United in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 22.


The Restoration Boys, fully determined, played their hearts out at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, fully aware of the quality of their opponents.


Besides the win, Bayelsa United FC also secured a record of three clean sheets in a row.


Ekeson Okorie's brave brace earned the Prosperity Boys the much-needed win for their survival out of the relegation waters in the ongoing 2023/2024 league season.


Ekeson Okorie scored his first goal through a penalty in the (45+2) minutes, while he completed his brace in the 65th minute after a beautiful assist from Israel Consul.


Bayelsa United made triple changes as Adamu Yazid, Ifeanyi Assurance, and Nneoye Ofem were replaced by Hassan Oladimeji, Tekena Garando, and Muniru Abdulrahman.
